FLAG (Flexo Label Advantage Group, LLC) has announced that it will host its 11th in-person Annual Meeting this April in Salt Lake City, UT.

FLAG recognizes the need for continuing education and networking within the independent converter community which is a driving force for the organization and a key focus of the Annual Meeting. FLAG has announced the location, speakers, and Member Tour Host for the 2023 meeting. The meeting, which hosts over 100 members and vendor partners, will take place at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center on April 18 – 20, 2023.

Highlights of the Annual Meeting include group sessions, a tour of a member facility, tabletops from FLAG Vendor Partners, and keynote presentations on topics that are paramount for the independent converter. This year the group will tour Traco Packaging and learn how their old-fashioned values and work ethic have driven over 35 years of successful growth. (Visit here to read their story).

Keynote presenters include Eric Papp, who will discuss increasing effectiveness in the age of complexity, and Greg Hrinya, editor, Label & Narrow Web, who will cover the state of the label and packaging industry. The event will also include an Awards Dinner and Ceremony recognizing both members and vendor partners.

According to FLAG president JC McKay, “The theme of this year’s Annual Members’ Meeting – ‘Ignite’ – is particularly relevant as the industry as a whole is adjusting to post-pandemic normalcy and the independent label converter needs to do even more to stay viable as the big guys get bigger. By connecting and sharing resources, knowledge, and insights, our members can leverage their strengths and remain competitive in the face of rapid change. We believe that this community of like-minded individuals is a powerful force for progress, and we’re excited to be part of forging valuable connections at this Meeting. ”

McKay continues, “Our membership is now at over 130 members and continues to grow each year, with 2022 being a record growth year for FLAG. Our continued growth allows us to produce consistently outstanding annual meetings each year. The 2023 meeting is shaping up to be the highest attended – with outstanding content, multiple networking functions, tabletops on the latest technology, awards for members and vendor partners, and of course, the Member Tour, which is always a highlight of the meeting.”

Founded in 2010 by John McKay, FLAG serves independent label converters in the narrow web marketplace. Members realize the type of benefits usually enjoyed by larger multi-site converting conglomerates. These include bottom-line savings, catastrophic recovery plans, penetrating new markets and application niches, and having access to new resources. One key benefit to members is the Annual Meeting and a variety of virtual events throughout the year.
